The Star Players are proud to announce the addition of a bonus show for their 2011-2012 theatrical season, Musical of Musicals (the Musical!), music by Eric Rockwell and lyrics by Joanne Bogart. 

Synopisis: In this hilarious satire of musical theatre, the classic melodrama story of a girl who can’t pay the rent to the evil landlord and needs help from her matronly friend and heroic boyfriend becomes five delightful musicals, each written in the distinctive style of a different master of the form, from Rodgers and Hammerstein to Stephen Sondheim.  Musicals satirized include The Phantom of the Opera, Oklahoma!, Sweeney Todd, Hello, Dolly!, Cabaret, and countless others!

Cast: The cast of Musical of Musicals (the Musical!) features talented veterans of the Star Players and surrounding communities.

Will is portrayed by Eric Hertenstein of Findlay. Eric has been active in the Fort Findlay Playhouse, the University of Findlay, and The Ritz Theater, with roles such as Seymour Krelborn in Little Shop of Horrors.

June is portrayed by Mandy Bour of Findlay. Mandy has appeared at the Bucyrus Little Theatre, Ritz Theater, Fort Findlay Playhouse, Encore Theater Company, Music Warehouse, Black Swamp Players, and Piqua Players, with roles such as Winnifred in Once Upon A Mattress.

Abby is portrayed by Amanda Sterling of Marion. Amanda has performed at the Marion Palace Theater, Star Theater, and The Ohio State University at Marion, and Bowling Green State University, in roles such as Logainne Schwartzandgrubenierre in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

Jitter is portrayed by Charles Groth of Bloomville. Charles has performed at the Star Theater, Marion Palace Theater, Ritz Theatre, Van Wert Civic Theatre, Croswell Opera House, Fort Findlay Playhouse, and Bucyrus Little Theater, in roles such as Pseudolous in A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum.

Tickets: Tickets go on sale in February and may be reserved by calling 419-294-1411.  Ticket prices are $10 general admission and $8 for members.
